SHORT BIO

Nadya Lakaeva is a professional Vedic Astrologer and Teacher, and, as a student and partner of Simon Chokoisky (who is the author of “The 5 Dharma Types”), she specializes in helping people find their Dharma.

A Designer-Architect by training and a future Psychotherapist, her gift is to help her clients create beautiful environments within and without.

With her background in Yoga, Ayurveda, Vastu, and Psychology, Nadya brings a holistic approach to reading each and every chart by looking through the various lenses of the Native’s life purpose, professional fulfillment, spiritual path, physical and mental health, and trauma that’s holding the person back from their self-actualization.

My name is Nadya Lakaeva.

I am a Vedic Astrologer, a Designer, and an Empath.

My Dharma Type is: Outsider (playing an Educator).

My Moon is in Ardra Nakshatra.

Originally from Western Siberia (in the Ural region of Russia), I came to the United States when I was 18 years old and never looked back!

I have a linguistic background, having studied philology as my first university major, and am talented at languages. This makes me very passionate about Sanskrit (the ancient, sacred language of the Gods) and mantras!

In the 10 years that spanned my interlude from school, I managed to work in the corporate world for a few years, which then drove me to retreat and wholeheartedly study Yoga and Ayurveda.

After completing an immersive Hatha Yoga Teacher Training at the renowned "7 Centers Yoga Arts" studio in Sedona and spending some time learning at the feet of the luminous Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, I followed my passion for design & the arts by pursuing a degree in architecture.

Through a myriad of obstacles, I somehow miraculously graduated Summa Cum Laude from the ASU School of Architecture. After graduating, having dipped my toe into the real world of architecture, I felt utterly unsatisfied by the mundane nature of my newly-chosen career. I reached a profound understanding that I needed to be involved in something infinitely deeper and more meaningful to be able to feel fulfilled in this lifetime. This realization drove me away from architecture and fully into Jyotisha!

I have been practicing Jyotisha (Vedic Astrology) full-time for a while now and could not be happier! Changing people's lives - by going straight to the core of their being, unraveling their karma, and helping them guide themselves towards their life's purpose (Dharma), satisfaction (Kama), abundance in all spheres (Artha), and eventually their final liberation (Moksha) - has been the richest and most fulfilling experience I could ever dream of or hope for!!!

I have also been so fortunate and privileged to now be teaching Jyotisha and other Vedic modalities alongside my famed, amazing, and brilliant partner Simon Chokoisky! So, come and join our classes and learn how to decode your birth chart!!! :D
