Who I am...
Hello! Nice to meet you! :)
My name is Nadya Lakaeva.
I am a Vedic Astrologer, a Designer, and an Empath.
My Dharma type is: Outsider (playing an Educator).
My Moon is in Ardra Nakshatra.
Originally from Western Siberia (in the Ural region of Russia), I came to the United States when I was 18 years old and never looked back!
I have a linguistic background, having studied philology as my first university major, and am talented at languages. This makes me very passionate about Sanskrit (the ancient, sacred language of the Gods) and mantras!
In the 10 years that spanned my interlude from school, I managed to work in the corporate world for a few years, which then drove me to retreat and wholeheartedly study Yoga and Ayurveda.
After completing a Hatha Yoga Teacher Training at the renowned "7 Centers Yoga Arts" studio in Sedona and spending some time learning at the feet of the luminous Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, I followed my passion for design by pursuing a degree in architecture.
Through a myriad of obstacles, I somehow miraculously graduated Summa Cum Laude from the ASU School of Architecture. After graduating, having dipped my toe into the real world of architecture, I felt utterly unsatisfied by the mundane nature of my newly-chosen career. I reached a profound understanding that I needed to be involved in something infinitely deeper and more meaningful to be able to feel fulfilled in this lifetime. This realization drove me away from architecture and fully into Jyotisha!
I have been practicing Jyotisha (Vedic Astrology) full-time for a while now and could not be happier! Changing people's lives by going straight to the core of their being, unraveling their karma, and helping them guide themselves towards their life's purpose (Dharma), satisfaction (Kama), abundance in all spheres (Artha), and eventually their final liberation (Moksha) - has been the most rich and fulfilling experience I could ever dream of or hope for!!!
I have also been so fortunate and privileged to now be teaching Jyotisha and other Vedic modalities alongside the famed, amazing, and brilliant Simon Chokoisky! So, come and join our classes!!! :D

Ancient Indian wisdom and culture are what fuel and lay the foundation for all of my work!
Vastu
Another Vedic modality that I am passionate about and know the basics of at this time.
My goal is to master this incredible science and art over the course of the next couple of years to be able to give professional consultations for creating energetically-sattvic and healing home environments in accordance with the Vastu principles.
Prashna = Question Charts
Prashna, or the Question Chart, is an extensive and enchanting topic of Jyotisha, which I personally use on a daily basis to help my clients answer very specific burning questions on any topic in their life.
Teaching Astrology
I have been co-teaching alongside Simon Chokoisky for a while now, helping people from various levels and backgrounds of Jyotisha to dive deep into this incredibly vast and fascinating science and art.
Sanskrit
I am an avid and passionate student of the divine Sanskrit language, constantly broadening my horizons, learning new words, and teaching people how to pronounce sanskrit mantras and terminology correctly.
Enneagram
The Enneagram is another modality that I have always loved and used extensively in my work to help people understand their egoic archetypes. It is an ancient Sufi system of psychological analysis that reveals our behavioral patterns that ultimately thwart our evolution and spiritual growth.

Study of the fundamentals of Ayurveda with Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute - now with the ability to integrate it with the Vedic Chart.
